Getting to work on their new flick, Quvenzhané Wallis and Jamie Foxx shot scenes for “Annie” in New York City on Wednesday (September 25).

Shooting a scene where the 10-year-old trips on her walk, the Oscar-worthy pair channeled their characters on the Big Apple set.

In regards to their musical adaptation, Columbia Pictures changed up the release date making it more suitable for Oscar season.

It is now slated to hit theaters December 18, 2014 and Miss Wallis could find herself in another running for a golden statue.
