Kristen Wiig Hopes for a Hit While Promoting “Hateship, Loveship” in Canada

The stars keep a’coming at the Toronto International Film Festival, each there to promote a film they hope will score with both critics and the movie ticket-buying public. The latest to arrive, Kristen Wiig, to promote “Hateship, Loveship” on Friday (September 6).

Before heading in, the “Saturday Night Live” alum posed with fans and signed autographs outside the theater. “Hateship, Loveship” is a drama about a young girl who tries to set up her father, a recovering addict, with her nanny. It was shot in New Orleans last year and also stars Hailee Steinfeld, Guy Pearce, and Nick Nolte.

In July, Miss Wiig (who just turned 40) split from The Strokes drummer Fabrizio Moretti after 18 months together.

The “Bridesmaids” star is currently filming “Welcome To Me” in Indio, California. She also has four films in post-production.
