Turning the 65th Emmy Awards in to an all-weekend event, stars of all kinds were on hand at the Entertainment Weekly Pre-Emmy party at Fig & Olive Melrose Place on Friday night (September 20) in West Hollywood.

Gracing the arrivals carpet in floor length gowns, Ashlee Simpson turned heads in a purple and black lace number, while "Modern Family's" Julie Bowen opted for the always popular combination of black and white.

Also putting in appearances at the star studded festivities were "The Big Bang Theory" actress Kaley Cuoco, Alyssa Milano, Kat Graham and Shenae Grimes.

The Primetime Emmy Awards take place on Sunday, September 22 beginning at 8/7 central on CBS.
