A Clean-Cut Brad Pitt Surprises Crowd With Appearance at Toronto Film Festival

All the big names are turning out at the Toronto International Film Festival, including Brad Pitt. The co-star and producer of “12 Years A Slave” came out to support the premiere of his movie on Friday (September 6).

Many fans of the 49-year-old were glad to see the actor had finally shaved off his scraggly beard and pulled back his ever-growing hair into a looped ponytail.

Pitt wasn’t originally expected to attend because his name wasn’t initially mentioned on the festival’s list of guests. Pitt’s kids and partner, Angelina Jolie, are in Sydney, Australia where she’s making a film of her own.

Chiwetel Ejiofor stars in “12 Years A Slave,” as a 19th-century musician kidnapped and sold into slavery in the Deep South. Pitt plays a Canadian abolitionist in a cast that also includes Michael Fassbender, Paul Giamatti, Alfre Woodard and Benedict Cumberbatch.
