They’re coming off a big win at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards, and Macklemore and Ryan Lewis hit up “Chelsea Lately” to clear up some rumors.

The “Thrift Shop” hitmakers began by discussing what it was like to score a moonman trophy over the weekend.

Macklemore began, “It was nerve-wracking. I was scared as hell. I was scared about not thanking my fiancée. And I did. Very last minute. I had already passed the mic to Ryan [Lewis] and then I remembered looking at her in the audience. And I was like, ‘Give that back to me. Do not cue the music!’”

Chelsea later asked, “You’re both straight right?” to which Macklemore replied, “The Internet thinks that I’m gay. It’s not true,” while explaining that Google actually auto-fills the question given the number of searches that have been done.
