She's surprisingly managed to stay out of sight for weeks, but now Kim Kardashian is ready to return to the spotlight as she posted a long-awaited selfie on Saturday (August 17).

Perhaps appropriately, her return to self-promotion is joined by a social media titan as she tweeted, "Chilling with the creator of Instagram" along with the dark photo showing her face and hand with a smiling Kevin Systrom.

The reality star headed out to her half-sister Kylie Jenner's Alice in Wonderland-themed sweet 16 party in Los Angeles where she may have stolen some of the teenager's thunder.

However, trying not to shift the focus, Kim consciously made a public outing earlier in the week so Kylie could fully enjoy her special day.
