Taking advantage of the gorgeous setting, Kate Hudson and Zach Braff filmed a romantic sunset scene for "Wish I Was Here" in Santa Monica, California on Friday (August 23).

Sipping on some brewskies on a lifeguard post, the pair wore sweatshirts as they rushed to get things finished before the sun dipped below the horizon.

Written and directed by the "Scrubs" star, the dramedy follows a struggling actor, husband, and father who goes through an identity crisis at age 35 and ends up home-schooling his children.

Hitting theaters next fall, "Wish I Was Here" co-stars Jim Parsons, Ashley Greene, Josh Gad, Mandy Ptinkin, and bestie Donald Faison.
