Winding down the summer, Jennifer Garner and Violet Affleck headed to Staples for back to school shopping in Santa Monica, California on Monday (August 5).

The "13 Going on 30" star wore a gray sweatshirt, jeans, and sneakers as she took her 7-year-old daughter by the hand and rewarded her with some donuts afterwards.

Though school may have been out, the 41-year-old actress made sure to keep her three kids' brains stimulated over the summer.

On Saturday, Jen took Violet, Seraphina, and baby Samuel to the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles for a day full of learning.
