He’s always been a good sport when it comes to self-effacing humor, and James Franco was the object of ridicule during “The Comedy Central Roast of James Franco” last night (August 25).

The “Spring Breakers” stud showed up at Culver Studios in Culver City, California where Roastmaster Seth Rogen led the charge with some witty and biting remarks.

Rogen joked, "[James] once told me he worked for 36 hours straight, which I didn't believe. The straight part, of course,” followed by, "Look at me doing all the talking while you sit there doing nothing. I feel like I'm hosting the Oscars with you!"

Also in the house were stars like Nick Kroll, Sarah Silverman, Jeff Ross, Bill Hader, Andy Samberg, Aziz Ansari, Kate Walsh, and Amy Poehler.

“The Comedy Central Roast of James Franco” is slated to air on September 2nd at 10pm on Comedy Central.
