Welcoming her baby sister in her own special way, Ireland Baldwin wrote an open letter to the newborn on her Tumblr account on Friday (August 23).

The 17-year-old model offer advice on how little Carmen Gabriela Baldwin, who is the daughter of Ireland’s dad Alec and his wife Hilaria, should deal with growing up with famous parents.

“You will eventually make your own decisions, but hopefully you will listen to and use the knowledge I have gained from my past experiences and from the results of my many mistakes," she began.

Reflecting on her often tense past relationship with their father, Ireland offered "Remember that your parents will always love you. As a kid, you forget that sometimes. When they are screaming about this and bickering about that. It hurts. Grown-ups yell. I don't know why, but they do. No matter what your mom or Dad says or does, simply remember that they love the s--t out of you. NEVER forget it."

Saying she hoped the two could be close as Carmen grows, the older Baldwin sweetly says, "Just remember, the happiest girl in the room is the prettiest girl. By projecting your inner beauty, you will shine.”
