He’s been a huge proponent of gay marriage rights over the years, but sadly Cheyenne Jackson is ending his union with husband Monte Lapka.

According to a report, the “United 93” star and his longtime partner have filed court documents after trying unsuccessfully to work things out.

Jackson’s rep told press, "Cheyenne Jackson and his husband Monte Lapka have mutually decided to divorce. The couple has been together for 13 years and were married in N.Y. State two years ago. It is an amicable parting and, understandably, a private matter."

Back in 2011, Cheyenne tweeted, "It's official, after 11 years together … Married the best man I've ever known."
