It’s one of the most unlikely hits of the season, and people can’t seem to stop talking about the SyFy original movie “Sharknado.”

In fact, the “tornado sucks up a ton of killer great white sharks and heads for the city” flick is actually going to be released in theaters for a midnight showing on August 2nd.

A total of two hundred Regal Cinemas locations will play “Sharknado” in all of its cable-b-movie glory, with the possibility for encore showings.

Regal honcho Chris Sylvia told press, “You know how audiences have had fun with Rocky Horror Picture Show over the years. If the internet reactions to this film are any indication, then our moviegoers are primed and ready to enjoy Sharknado larger than life in cinemas.”

Chief Marketing Officer Ken Thewes added, “There’s just something epic about watching these huge beasts on the big screen with your friends and family. The crowd reactions will make for a memorable experience in our theatres.”
