A harsh reminder of the fragility of life, the late James Gandolfini was honored at a private, invitation-only wake in New Jersey yesterday (June 26).
The “Sopranos” star’s widow Debora Lin brought their 8-month-old daughter Liliana from California to attend the event, held at the Robert Spearing Funeral Home in Park Ridge.
Extended family member Bob Price told press, "It's a nightmare for the whole family. It's a horrible, horrible thing, everybody is just devastated. This man was everybody's hero. It's just the worst thing that could have happened."
Later today (June 27) James will be honored with a funeral mass at the Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine in Manhattan. Gandolfini died of a heart attack in Rome, Italy on June 19th.
