Giving props to a “Pretty Amazing” young lady, Carly Rae Jepsen headed over to New York City on Thursday (June 27).

The “Call Me Maybe” singer donned a cream ensemble with decked out sandals as she greeted fans at the Seventeen magazine event honoring its contest finalists.

Girls between the ages of 15 and 22 could enter the Pretty Amazing contest for a chance to win a $10,000 scholarship from Neutrogena, an all-expense paid trip to NYC, and their very own Seventeen magazine cover.

Zoe Damecela, 2011 winner, told girls, “It’s OK to show your dorky, awkward, silly, or weird side. This contest is for real girls, not mannequins!”
