Making a striking appearance on the red carpet, Co-Chair Rooney Mara arrived at the 2013 Costume Institute Gala at the Met in New York City on Monday (May 6).

The "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" star wore a white, lacey, low-cut Givenchy gown with zipper embellishments and white heels as she posed outside.

Every year, the Costume Institute of The Metropolitan Museum of Art puts together a killer collection of amazing goodies complete with a star-studded party to kick things off.

And this time around the theme is “PUNK: Chaos to Couture,” an examination of punk’s impact on high fashion from the 1970s up to the collections found on today’s runways the world over.
