Hard at work on her new project, Katie Holmes was busy shooting scenes for “Mania Days” in New York City this morning (May 21).

Joined by costar Luke Kirby, the “Disturbing Behavior” babe couldn’t stop smiling as she chatted with the handsome actor in between takes.

Meanwhile, Katie was recently claimed to be “scary skinny” by Life & Style magazine, who declared that having ex-husband Tom Cruise around was having an adverse effect on Holmes’ eating.

The tabloid’s source said that Cruise “pops up in NYC for a day here, a day there, he’ll take Suri for a night or two. That’s really not something Katie’s been used to.”

However, it turns out a pal of Katie’s called the story “nonsense,” especially given that the arrangement between Holmes and Cruise has always been that way.
