Stepping out for a swanky evening, Jake Gyllenhaal headed over to the 28th Annual Lucille Lortel Awards in New York City last night (May 5).

The “Day After Tomorrow” hunk showed up at the NYU Skirball Center with a scruffy beard and dark suit as he greeted fellow attendees and posed for photos.

In related news, Gyllenhaal signed on to narrate the new audiobook version of “The Great Gatsby” to accompany the upcoming film, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan.
