Getting in some couple time, Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale hit up the 2013 Costume Institute Gala on Monday evening (May 6) in New York City.

Posing on the arrivals carpet outside the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the No Doubt songstress stunned in a black-and-white Maison Martin Margiela ensemble, while her rocker hubby wore a plaid suit and white shoes for the big event.

Every year, the Costume Institute of The Metropolitan Museum of Art puts together a killer collection of amazing goodies complete with a star-studded party to kick things off.

And this time around the theme is “PUNK: Chaos to Couture,” an examination of punk’s impact on high fashion from the 1970s up to the collections found on today’s runways the world over.
