Getting an early jump on the day, Alexander Skarsgard scurried out of his luxury downtown hotel in New York City this morning (May 2).

The “True Blood” hunk was hard to miss in a bright blue button-up shirt, dark wash jeans, and a slicked-back coif as he hopped into his car and sped off.

In career news, Alexander has been tapped to star in a remake of the classic 1990s flick “The Crow,” though he’s still in negotiations with the studio.

If he takes the gig, Skarsgard will replace Tom Hiddleston, who dropped out of the project earlier this year.

Meanwhile, Alex’s “Tarzan” film has been canceled by Warner Bros. due to financial woes.
