According to Us Weekly, after a six year relationship, the "American History X" star and his Canadian producer gal got engaged in 2011.

Meanwhile, the 43-year-old actor is in the midst of shooting his new movie, "Birdman." Directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu, the comedy tells the story of a washed-up actor who once played an iconic superhero and must overcome his ego and family trouble as he prepares to mount a Broadway play in a bid to reclaim past glory.

Joining Mr. Norton in the flick are Emma Stone, Andrea Riseborough, Zach Galifianakis, Naomi Watts, and Michael Keaton.
