Treating herself to some retail therapy, Jennifer Garner showed up at a few shops in Santa Monica yesterday afternoon (April 14).

The “Butter” babe brought her kids Violet, Seraphina, and Saumel with her for the romp, also stopping at the Luxxe Café for some grub along the way.

In a recent interview, Jennifer shared that when it comes to entertaining her brood, she prefers to read books as opposed to zoning out in front of the television.

"We love `A Series Of Unfortunate Events` by Lemony Snicket. My daughter Violet is so into the series, she talks about the Baudelaire kids like they are part of our family. It`s a blast.”
