David Beckham Speaks Out on the Importance of Soccer

Promoting his role as the first international ambassador of the China Football Association, David Beckham spoke at Peking University in Beijing on Sunday (March 24).

The 37-year-old British hunk looked dapper in a perfectly-fitted black suit before lifting his shirt to show off his new ink which is written in Chinese characters, reading, "appreciation for the life and death are determined by fate, rank and riches decreed by Heaven."

While speaking to the group of eager students, David even tried his hand at playing a traditional Chinese instrument.

Beckham is currently on a five-day tour of the country where he is scheduled to pay visits to local schools, football clubs, and news conferences as he "educate[s] the children and give[s] them a chance of becoming professional footballers."
