Guys have all kinds of ways to pop the big question, from a romantic dinner date to a hot air balloon ride, but Jay Cutler went a different route when he proposed to Kristin Cavallari for the second time.

The Chicago Bears quarterback and the “Laguna Beach” starlet had split up for a bit in July 2011 after getting engaged the previous April, so when they got back together Jay wanted to make sure the betrothal was still on.

Kristin told press that Cutler simply text messaged her to re-propose. "I was in the airport, leaving Chicago. We had just spent however many days together and we were texting and somehow it came up, like, 'Oh, shall we get married?' We're like, 'Yeah, OK.'"

She continued, “And then he sent my ring in the mail. So I actually had my ring sitting at home for a couple of weeks before I put it on."

As for the wedding, Kristin shared, "[We] know where, we know the colors, we have people booked … I'm hoping to keep it around 160. We actually have a date ... But we're not, you know, telling anyone details."
