Hugh Jackman Goes “Lincoln” for Letterman

He’s well-known for his singing chops, and Hugh Jackmanbroke into song during his appearance on “The Late Show with David Letterman” last night (February 20).

The “Real Steel” hunk showed up on the Ed Sullivan Theatre stage wearing a bushy beard and tall top hat as he explained his reasoning for the getup.

Hugh shared, "The truth is, I wanted to sway a few last-minute Oscar voters. I'll be honest. I mean, really, can Daniel Day-Lewis do this?" before singing, “Four score and seven years ago….”

Jackman, of course, was referring to his aspiration of beating Lewis for the Best Actor Oscar at this weekend’s 85th Academy Awards.
