The big day has finally arrived for Shakira, as the Latina superstar checked in to a Barcelona hospital to give birth on Tuesday (January 22).

Accompanied by her partner Gerard Piqué, along with her father and siblings, the “Waka Waka” songstress was all smiles as she stepped in to an awaiting car.

Asking for prayers from her legion of fans, she tweeted, "I'd like to ask you all to accompany me in your prayers on this very important day of my life. Shak."

The impending bundle of joy will be the first child for the 35-year-old Columbia native and her boyfriend.
