After winning the hearts of Americans on the Olympic skating rink, Michelle Kwan has won the heart of Clay Pell, who she married on Saturday (January 19).

The five-time world champion figure skater tied the knot with the director for strategic planning on the National Security staff at the White House at the First Unitarian Church in Providence, Rhode Island.

In front of over 200 guests, including Olympians Brian Boitano, Dick Button, and Dorothy Hamill, the two exchanged their own vows. With her father Danny Kwan at her side, Michelle walked down the aisle in an ivory Vera Wang gown.

Having switched gears to become a senior advisor for public diplomacy and public affairs, Ms. Kwan gushed PEOPLE in September about her fiancée, saying, "I never was one who believed in love at first sight, but I have to admit it happened for us. I felt there was a magnetic connection between us. I thought he was the one from the beginning."
