Gearing up for its second season, NBC released new clips from its hit show “Smash” on Monday (January 28).

In the clips, show newcomer Jennifer Hudson's character offers up some advice to Katharine McPhee's Karen how to deal with her success.

Another preview shows the “Dreamgirls” vixen singing “Mama Makes Three” during a Broadway show.

Fans can catch all the action when “Smash” returns on Tuesday, February 5 at 9/8 central on NBC.
