Former “American Idol” champion Kelly Clarkson did not lip-sync during her performance of “My Country, ‘Tis of Thee” yesterday afternoon (January 21), according to her rep.

Earlier this afternoon, reports surfaced that Beyoncé Knowles used a prerecorded track for her National Anthem performance at President Barack Obama's second inauguration ceremony.

After those reports surfaced, questions were naturally raised about Miss Clarkson’s performance and its authenticity.

Kelly’s rep quickly shut down the rumors and said that the newly engaged singer sang live.
