She made the trip across the pond to attend the 70th Golden Globe Awards last night (January 13) and Adele's transatlantic travel ended up paying off in a big way.

The “Rolling in the Deep” songstress took home the Globe for Best Original Song thanks to her James Bond theme “Skyfall,” and couldn’t have been happier.

Adele exclaimed, "Oh my god! Honestly, I'd come out for a night out with my friend. We're new mums, we've literally come for a night out. I was not expecting this. Thank you so much!"

Meanwhile, awards show darling Taylor Swift was also up for the trophy and when she didn’t get it, she seemed to have difficulty disguising her disappointment. T.Swizzle made a cranky smirk for the camera when it panned over to get her reaction. Whoops!
