As the big Christmas Day release draws near, Universal Pictures has released a new behind-the-scenes featurette for "Les Misérables."

Focusing on star Hugh Jackman, the video includes the Aussie hunk belting out a song and talking about the iconic role of Jean Valjean, as well as the work put in to capture the character.

About his part, the 44-year-old actor gushes, "This is the kind of role you dream of playing. I'm gonna give 110%. I'm gonna do everything I can to make this role live."

After castmates and director Tom Hooper praised Hugh's work ethic, leadership, and preparation on set, Mr. Jackman acknowledged the challenge of bringing the Broadway show to the big screen, saying, "I think musicals are the Mount Everest of movie making."
