Gearing up for another spectacular performance, Katie Holmes showed up at the Music Box Theater in New York City this afternoon (December 19).

The newly-turned 34-year-old starlet kept warm in the wintry Big Apple weather thanks to a wool coat as she shuffled past a crowd and prepared for her role in “Dead Accounts.”

Meanwhile, the rumor that Katie plunked down $24,000 for a top-of-the-line playhouse for her daughter Suri has been found to be untrue.

A rep from the Sweet Retreat Kids company told press, “We have not sold this playhouse to Katie Holmes.”

The gift in question (a mini-mansion) is said to contain running water, heat, electricity, a kitchen, dining rooms, bedrooms, and much more.
